Pictured above is the Parkinson's and Movement Disorders Center's Dr. Jon Snider after his talk on Richmond's local PBS station. Dr. Snider has won formal accolades for his high student ratings and outstanding performance as a truly dedicated teacher and mentor with the Parkinson's and Movement Disorders Center's medical education program. Dr. Snider's teaching accolades include the VCU Department of Neurology 2016-2017 Faculty Outstanding Teaching Award, a nomination for the 2017 VCU Irby-James Award for Excellence in Clinical Teaching, and the 2017 VCU Outstanding Teaching Award for High Evaluation of M-III Clerkship.

Education

The VCU Parkinson’s and Movement Disorders Center is committed to educating and training future investigators and health care professionals. The Center hosts workshops and seminars for students, clinicians and scientists. It is a priority for the Center to facilitate opportunities for the sharing of information for all to learn and benefit. We strive to learn from those we serve in order to both alter the trajectory of movement disorders and improve the quality of life for those affected. Learning opportunities are available for patients and families, as well as health care professionals.
